Description:   It’s time for me to part with TC EXU 7619 and pass to another fan of these cars. Restored some years ago in its original factory Clipper Blue with Vellum Beige interior. One of 494 EXU models made exclusively for the American market leading up to the introduction of the TD in 1950. EXU models added front and rear bumpers and separate license plate mount. Twin horns under the bonnet, turn signal switch in the middle of the dash along with twin filament bulbs on front indicators and seperate stop/ indicator fittings on the fuel tank.

I purchased 7619 in April 2019 with no history of its restoration but was finished to a high standard with originality and important modifications for safety and drivability. The modifications include a Datsun steering box, sealed rear bearings with new hubs, higher differential gearing (4.625) and modified carrier bearing seal. And finally a seven blade plastic cooling fan,(original 4 blade fan included) modern thermostat housing with latest 6 blade water pump. Maintenance past 7 years list as new rear brake shoes and proper e brake cables installed and adjusted. Brake fluid flushed in 2024 along with radiator tanked and repainted. Carburetors resealed with original cork and heat shield installed. New SU fuel pump and fuel line between carbs. I have driven approximately 875 miles to car shows and club events without any problems ever and taking home best in class often.

As far as current condition, XPAG 8208 has a running warm oil pressure of 44 lbs warmed up and 25 psi at a 750 idle. Coolant temp on gauge reads between 75 and 85C depending on outside temperatures. Only thing it need would be a new top and side curtain kits as the current ones on do work well, are not up to the standard of the restoration. New tan Moss single window top and side curtain covers are included in the sale. Also included a new excelsior spare tire with tube as the old original Dunlop holds air but is showing its age under the cloth cover. In addition, a set of Whitworth wrenches and sockets in a moss zip bag go with the sale. A solid show winning and a real joy to drive vintage highly collectible MG EXU… For additional info, email ..
