Recent complete nut and bolt concours restoration of MG TC 4848. From a bare frame, restored suspension and brakes, new brake lines and fuel lines, a billet master cylinder. Rebuilt bishop cam steering box with upgraded billet drop arm. Five new 19-inch wire wheels with 4.5 x 19-inch Dunlop tires. Professionally rebuilt engine with crane cam and TD II valves and valve springs, rebuild pressure plate and new clutch, rebuilt transmission and differential (4.63 gears; FTFU), new rear axles and hubs (Bob Grunau); distributor, starter, generator, radiator, SU fuel pump, and SU carburetors with original air cleaner (not shown) all restored. New Whitworth shop body.
All body panels stripped to bare metal with inner fender steel replaced. Whitworth shop restored walnut dash with restored instruments and new cloth wiring harness including turn indicators. Moss leather upholstery kit on new seat frames, new canvas top and side curtains. All chrome replated to high standards including original 8-inch head lamps and D lamps. Painted with 2k British racing green / clear coat. Reassembled with stainless steel Whitworth fasteners and new rubber everywhere.
The TC has been driven approximately 500 miles in past 4 months with effortless 120-mile trip completed in May. Engine is presently well tuned, brakes are excellent for an MG TC, and everything working well. No effort spared to bring this TC to great performance, reliability and beauty.
