TC7670 EXU

The MG TC was produced from September 1945 - Novemeber 1949 with a total production run of 10,000.

Of all the TC's built, only 494 were made as EXU's.  An EXU was an export version made specific for Export to the United States (EXU).  The EXU required addition equipment to meet the rigorous safety standards of the day.  This included bumpers, horns, turn signals and dash mount rear view mirror.

Today, TC7670 is a visual testiment as to standards and level of detail that "From The Frame Up" aspires to.

TC7670's chassis frame serves as the "company icon".  This iconic frame also serves as a symbolic reminder that "quality" is the very foundation of the company principals.

The last time TC7670 was on the road was 1972.  It's rear differential disintegrated and a replacement rear axle housing was never found until fall of 1994 and the restoration began.

There were many items found that were not not proper for the TC so the hunt began to find all of the correct parts for the car.  Here you can see a 1960's "aftermarket" filler cap.

Apparently in 1960, galvanized pipe was a sought after commodity as well chrome.  When parts were not available, parts were made to make due and get the car back on the road.

TC7670 made it's first debute July 2008 at GOF West.  Al Moss's famous Cream & Crackers TC is in the  background.  After 4 1/2 years, she was done and rewarded with 1st Place Honors in Class.

The tool display illustrates many items that are available from FTFU.  Show quilt, document holder, proper tools, air pump replacement hose, sales brochure, tool roll, tool refinishing service.  Many have said the display took the car "over the top"
