Hi Doug
No doubt about you. Your service is excellent. It's more convenient to shop with you than buy similar parts here in Sydney. And your parts are better.
Thanks a million
Ian

Subject: Door Tensioners
Doug - The tensioners arrived and are fitted. What a great idea!!
Even though I was lucky enough for the doors to be flush along the front panel when I fitted them, the tensioners can make such a huge difference with just a quarter turn, Will make it simple to keep the great fit over time.

Subject: Rivets & bolts
Doug, The rivets are exactly right, by the way, though some required trimming, which was, of course, no problem. I’m still experimenting with the best way to set them in place. Those extra rivets came in handy!
You are great to do business with by the way. We are all very lucky you started your business. Thanks again,
Jay

Subject: Service
Hello all;
Would you all like to know the difference between getting stuff from Doug
and getting it from Moss? Doug will usually ship the same day and will use
the USPS. I get things in two days! I ordered from Doug a week ago on
Saturday and got my order the following Monday. I ordered some things from
Moss this last Saturday and it didn't ship till Monday and having paid extra
for expedited delivery I should get it today. If Doug had this particular
item in stock I would have had it on Monday.
In addition to the time issue, Doug is cheaper than Moss, and Doug talks TC
where the sales guys at Moss usually don't.
I say, support our own. Ok I will get off the soap box now! Have a great day!

Subject: A deserved compliment.
Doug,
Got an email from Phil (contacted him while hunting for a backing plate) that detailed a nightmare he has been having with his gearbox, and also contained the following regarding you:
"Doug Pelton, in response to my pleas for assistance, said he had a different cover supplier from Moss's (despite Moss telling Jeff at LBCC that there is ONLY one supplier in the world) and that his covers were "spot on". Bought one. A bit more expensive than the one from Moss, but it arrived in the early evening via UPS and I couldn't wait. Went out in the cold garage, hefted the thing over the shift lever extension and gear lever and bingo. It did indeed plop right into place.
Now in the process of once again going into contortions (which hurt) to put in the seven machine screws that go into the captive nuts on the firewall and then will use the wood screws I got from Doug to hold to the floorboards.
Doug is such a fabulous resource." …….Just wanted to pass this on.
Regards, Bill

Subject: RE: Oil Filler Caps
Doug,
As a fellow “Originality Student” of TCs, I read with great interest you article in the March issue of TTT.
Frankly when restoring TC0301 its one of the few areas I didn’t research, so I now know I am sporting a TF version in nickel plated steel and the radiating oil brands. This will now be fixed!
For what it’s worth, I used the attached photo for a lot of my detail. It’s in a couple of books, but I got a beautiful original from Gaydon. I am told it is TC 0257 and was taken 20 Sept 1945. With my strongest magnifying glass, I can’t see any writing on the cap, reinforcing your article.
Keep up the brilliant service. As I’ve said before; it’s a great pity you weren’t around when I was restoring my car.
Best wishes, John

Hi Doug-
Just wanted to say “Thank You’ for forwarding your wiring harness pictures to me
I really appreciate all the detailed work you do to ensure the preservation, accuracy and operation of our cars. I find your surveys of appropriate parts, dates of use, etc. interesting and they really do help to clear up confusion.

Subject: Plug for Doug
Just a note for the club. Last summer I bought a Moss rubber gearbox cover………
After five days (just a few hours a day) of joint pain and contortions I came to the conclusion that the cover just flat wouldn't fit. The large hole in the top for the lube filler nut was a good half inch off. The dipstick hole was about 3/4s of an inch away from the rubber hole. The rubber flange around the floorboard perimeter didn't cover the rear transmission nuts holding it to the
frame. In short, it was a mess. I was about 2/3rs finished when I realized this. I took all the screws out and attempted twice to adjust it. No dice.
In the meantime I was venting steam via email to Doug Pelton about all this. He said he sold gearbox covers from a different supplier than Moss's English source. Doug said his were "spot on" for it. I ordered one. It was more expensive than the LBCC/Moss one, but would be worth it if it was as good as he said.
It arrived yesterday via FedEx. It looked mahhhvelous (thank you Billy Crystal). I couldn't wait, and went out into the cold garage and slipped it over the gear lever and it plopped RIGHT into place. I mean even the lube filler nut on top of the transmission popped out exactly in place.
It is pre-punched for the seven machine screws into the firewall. It even has a swivel rubber plug on the left side near the handbrake so you can qrease the universal joint through the hole in the metal driveshaft tunnel. The floorboard perimeter flange sticks out even more than the old one I removed and it covers everything. It is fabulous.
So I'd just like to put in a plug for Doug and his careful selection
of repro parts. They're correct and they FIT! Best wishes, Phil

Subject: Harness
Hi Doug,
The package arrived safely and I must say the harness is a thing of beauty (however my wife did not quite understand my excitement) – seems almost a shame to install it where it might get dusty or wet!
Thanks for taking such good care to source excellent items like this.
Best wishes, James
